GuildMender Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and authority

By inviting, configuring, accessing, or using GuildMender, you agree to these Terms and the GuildMender Privacy Policy. If you install or configure GuildMender for a Discord server, you represent that you are authorized to act for that server and to grant the permissions you select.

If you do not agree, do not use GuildMender and remove it from servers you control.

2. Eligibility and platform rules

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements and comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, and all applicable laws. Twitch-connected features also require compliance with Twitch's applicable terms. GuildMender is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord or Twitch.

3. The service

GuildMender provides configurable tools that may include moderation, automatic moderation, tickets, verification, role management, welcome messages, server logs, Twitch notifications, polls, giveaways, reminders, games, leveling, achievements, profiles, and leaderboards. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued as the service evolves.

4. Server administration and permissions

• Server owners and administrators decide which GuildMender features are enabled and which channels, roles, and users they affect.
• You are responsible for reviewing permissions, role hierarchy, channel access, and automated actions before enabling a feature.
• You must not grant GuildMender broader permissions than reasonably needed or use it to bypass Discord's permission system.
• Moderation actions and configuration choices remain the responsibility of the server's owners and staff. GuildMender does not independently determine a server's rules or adjudicate member disputes.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use GuildMender to:

• Violate laws, platform rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or contractual obligations.
• Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, impersonate, or unlawfully monitor another person.
• Distribute malware, phishing material, scams, illegal content, or deceptive promotions.
• Spam commands, overload the service, evade rate limits, probe credentials, reverse engineer protected service components, or interfere with GuildMender's operation.
• Use moderation, logging, tickets, polls, giveaways, role tools, or automation in a misleading, abusive, or unauthorized manner.
• Resell, sublicense, or represent GuildMender as your own service without written permission.

6. Content and records

You retain any rights you hold in content submitted through Discord. You grant GuildMender permission to receive, process, display, and store that content only as needed to operate configured features, maintain the service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.

You are responsible for content you submit and for ensuring that your server has appropriate rules and notices for moderation records, ticket transcripts, activity tracking, polls, giveaways, Twitch alerts, and other enabled features.

7. Giveaways, games, and community features

GuildMender provides technical tools but does not sponsor or administer server-run giveaways, contests, games, rewards, or moderation decisions. Server operators are responsible for eligibility rules, prizes, disclosures, taxes, local laws, fair administration, and resolving disputes. Virtual XP, coins, badges, achievements, and ranks have no cash value unless a server operator clearly establishes separate lawful terms.

8. Third-party services

GuildMender depends on third-party platforms and infrastructure, including Discord, hosting and database providers, Twitch for optional stream alerts, and public data services used by some game features. Their availability and policies are outside GuildMender's control. Your use of those services remains governed by their own terms.

9. Optional tips

Tips through SlothBloom's tip page are optional support for development. A tip does not purchase ownership, guaranteed uptime, priority support, special bot permissions, or a promise that any particular feature will be created or maintained.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using GuildMender at any time by removing it from your server. Access may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements, platform-policy violations, extended service failure, or conduct that risks harm to GuildMender, its providers, or others.

11. Availability and changes

GuildMender is provided on an "as available" basis. Maintenance, outages, platform changes, rate limits, provider failures, and software defects may interrupt features or cause delays. Features, limits, hosting arrangements, and these Terms may be updated. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GuildMender is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or guaranteed preservation of server data. Server operators should maintain any records they are legally or operationally required to keep and should review important moderation actions rather than relying solely on automation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sloth Bloom and GuildMender's developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, goodwill, access, moderation outcomes, prizes, or server activity arising from use of or inability to use GuildMender. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
