SlothBloom Sprouts Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
This policy explains how Sloth Bloom handles information in SlothBloom Sprouts, a parent-guided learning app intended for children ages 1–5.
Parent control and children’s privacy
The child experience does not include public profiles, chat, social sharing, advertising, or behavioral advertising. Parent authentication, settings, purchases, privacy controls, and account management are kept behind the parent area. Parents should create and manage all accounts and child profiles.
Information the app handles
- Parent account: email address, Firebase user identifier, authentication status, and Google account information when Google sign-in is chosen.
- Child profile: a parent-entered name or nickname, age, avatar choice, learning goals, screen-time preference, and an optional locally stored parent-PIN verifier.
- Learning data: activities presented, attempts, results, completion history, rewards, and forest unlocks.
- App settings: audio, accessibility, privacy, and subscription-related preferences.
- Security and service data: Firebase App Check/Play Integrity signals and short-lived service session information when online services are used.
Most child-profile and learning information is stored only on the device. SlothBloom Sprouts does not currently request location, contacts, camera, or microphone permission.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate the parent, personalize age-appropriate lessons, save progress, provide rewards, protect parent-only features, restore app settings, prevent abuse, and support purchases or optional online features.
Service providers
- Google Firebase Authentication and App Check provide parent sign-in and app-integrity protection.
- Google Play Billing processes optional purchases or subscriptions. Google handles payment details under its own privacy terms.
The current app has no ads or third-party analytics SDK. AI-assisted parent tools are not production-enabled. Before any such feature is enabled, Sloth Bloom will review the data flow and update this policy as needed.
Storage, retention, and security
Local profiles, progress, rewards, and preferences remain on the device until a parent deletes a profile, deletes the parent account through the app, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. Firebase retains parent account data until the account is deleted, subject to Firebase and legal retention requirements. Reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and deletion
Parents can edit or delete child profiles from the parent area. They can delete the Firebase parent account and the app’s local profiles, progress, rewards, and settings from Parent Area → Privacy controls → Delete parent account and app data. Recent sign-in may be required. See the account and data deletion page for full instructions and a support-request option. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.
